What Is Intercrural Sex
The word intercrural is partially derived from Latin, where inter means between, and crura means legs. The definition of intercrural sex is that it is a type of sexual intercourse non-penetrative sex where a man puts his penis between the partner’s thighs often with lubrication and thrusts repeatedly to create friction, for an orgasm.
What’s in it for me?
It is devoid of any kind of vaginal or anal penetration and is thus considered as a “safe sex practice”. It is also a common practice among gay men. Intercrural sex is sometimes the main feature of sex education in adolescents and is suggested as an alternative to vaginal penetration, so as to avoid pregnancy. Shere Hite, a popular sex educator, found in her research on female sexuality several women who could achieve an orgasm through intercrural sex, when combined with digital clitoral stimulation.
Historical speak
In ancient Greece, pederasty a socially prevalent erotic relationship between an elder adult male and a younger male usually in his teenage year’s used intercrural sex as an outlet, since anal sex was considered demeaning to the receiver. According to his biographer, Oscar Wilde was introduced to this form of sex by Robert Baldwin Ross, and he notes it as his favorite, even above oral sex. Shaka Zulu, a great conqueror, and king from Southeast Africa is believed to have advertised intercrural sex amongst his troop members, to promote intimacy and loyalty. On top of all this, even personalities like Alexander the Great and Abraham Lincoln have been speculated to, at some point, have taken great joy in the interfemoral form of intimacy. A 1997 sexual health needs report prepared in the suburbs of Kolkata reported that 73% of men asked for, or engaged in, intercrural sex, though the frequency varied vastly between the individual demographics:
“Only 54% of sex workers, 50% of lower income men and 40% of Muslims reported intercrural sex; while 82% of Hindus and 88% of middle income men reported engaging in it.”
Considering that it is a safe way to prevent HIV while not using protection, plus the fact that it’s a variety from all the hundred other ways of sex that we’ve already heard of, or tried and gotten over, I think it’s worth a shot. Bonus point for the fact that intercrural sex can be performed in a number of different positions, most of which are only a quick search away; otherwise there’s always imagination.
